Western Port Highway maintenance works
Location:
Tyabb
Type:
Road
Status:
Underway
The Victorian Government is completing road maintenance work on Western Port Highway between Thornells Road and O’Neills Road in Tyabb.
What are we doing?
To keep Western Port Highway safe and reliable for the hundreds of road users who use it every day, we are undertaking Sprayseal resurfacing works.
When to expect us
Our crews will be working on-site on Tuesday 15 March from 9:30am to 3:30pm, subject to weather conditions.
How will this impact you?
- The road will be closed on Western Port Highway between Thornells Road and O’Neills Road, with a signed detour via O’Neills Road and Frankston-Flinders Road (see map below)
- Low-medium noise levels—we’ll work towards minimising noise as much as possible.
- Short periods where there may be restricted access to properties along Western Port Highway. We will endeavour to restore access as quickly as possible.
- Heavy vehicles will be escorted through the road closure on Western Port Highway by traffic controllers. They will not be detoured onto O’Neills Road due to height restrictions. Please address a traffic controller if you need to pass through the road closure.

Please keep an eye out for changed traffic conditions and temporary speed limits when moving through the area.
Thank you for your patience while we complete these important works.
