Western Port Highway & Robinsons Road, Langwarrin intersection upgrade

We're building a roundabout at the Western Port Highway and Robinsons Road intersection in Langwarrin to address ongoing safety concerns.

Project background

During the five year period to June 2015, there were 17 crashes requiring emergency services at this intersection. 14 of those crashes involved cross traffic, resulting in seven serious injuries and two fatalities.

About the project

Following ongoing concerns from the local community we’ve undertaken detailed investigations of the intersection and are installing a dual lane roundabout to address the current safety issues.

Community involvement

We’d like to thank all of the members of the local community who have supported this project and given us valuable feedback on the roundabout.

What happens next?

Construction of the new roundabout will begin in  early 2018and is expected to take approximately  6 months to complete with end of works marked for mid June 2018.

We'll continue to keep you up to date with the progress of the project, and will let you know of any planned works that may cause disruptions or delays.
