Western Roads Upgrade – Princes Highway (Werribee Main Road)

As part of our commitment to maintain roads and structures in the west, the Victorian Government is delivering important road maintenance works on approximately 1.9 kilometres of Princes Highway in Werribee. 

These works will be delivered by Netflow and will involve asphalt resurfacing and line marking to restore the condition of the road surface.

When to expect us

Crews will be on site for 13 nights between Thursday 16 February and Monday 13 March 2023, excluding all Friday and Saturday nights.

We will be working from 8pm to 6am to minimise traffic disruption and to keep our crews safe. 

Please note that the dates and times are subject to change due to weather conditions. 

How will this work affect you?

During working hours, you may notice:

• Road closures on the Princes Highway in six stages, with signed detours in place.
  • between Hoppers Lane and the Princes Freeway 
  • between Hoppers Lane and Research Close
  • between Research Close and Sneydes Road 
  • between Watton Street and Cottrell Street 
  • between Newmarket Road and New Farm Road
  • between Wests Road and the Princes Freeway
• No on street parking during working hours.
• High noise levels, vibrations and dust – we’ll work towards minimising these impacts as much as possible. 
• Safety lights within the work area. 
• Reduced speeds during works to ensure the safety of crews and motorists. 

Traffic management will be on site to assist residents and business owners in accessing their properties and helping motorists to travel around the works area safely. 

Please find alternate on street parking arrangements for the duration of works and plan ahead to allow extra travel time if the Princes Highway is part of your journey.

Site 5 - between Watton Street and Cottrell Street 

Site 6 - between Newmarket Road and New Farm Road
