Donna Buang Road Closure

Due to significant rainfall during December 2017, a landslip occurred on a portion of Donna Buang Road. We're working to not only clear the road but look at sustainable long term options to ensure the area will be better equipped to cope with future extreme weather events.

Project background

Due to significant rainfall during December 2017, a landslip occurred on a section of Donna Buang Road.

VicRoads is working to rectify the problem and develop long term treatment options to ensure that the area where the landslip occurred will be safe and stable for all road users in the future. The project is expected to be completed by end of April.

Until VicRoads has repaired the landslip and completed its long term treatment optionsa section of Donna Buang Road will remain closed to ensure safety for the community.  Motorists and local residents should plan ahead and seek alternative routes, such as the Warburton Highway. The extent of the road closure and traffic update can be found at VicTraffic or on the VicTraffic app.

VicRoads will be working closely with the emergency services during the disruption, and will restore access for the emergency services and CFA in the event of an emergency such as bushfire.
