Strathfieldsaye intersection

The Victorian Government has committed $4.5 million to the improvement of the Strathfieldsaye Road, Tannery Lane and Club Court intersection.

Project update - January 2017

In December 2016 the Victorian Government confirmed new traffic signals would be installed to improve the Strathfieldsaye Road, Tannery Lane and Club Court intersection.

VicRoads shared two potential design options with the Strathfieldsaye community in August 2016 to upgrade the intersection, which included a roundabout.

The traffic signals option was well supported by the community as a solution that would cater for pedestrian, cycling and local access needs.

Next steps

We’re finalising our designs and in the coming months we’ll begin making arrangements for service (electricity, water, gas and communications) relocations in the vicinity of the intersection.

Construction is planned to start mid 2017 and be completed towards the end of the year.
