Road safety education award

The Road Safety Education Award recognises and celebrates the achievements of early childhood educators in providing exemplary road safety education.

The award will be presented on Saturday the 30Th of May 2015 as part of the 2015 Early Childhood Education Conference; Together we grow – investing in our future (External link) . This award is open to all Victorian early childhood educators and services. The winner will receive $500 and a resource prize pack for their nominated service.

Starting Out Safely Award

Funded by VicRoads and delivered by Early Learning Association Australia, Starting Out Safely is about children, parents, carers and early childhood educators working together to guide children’s learning in being and becoming safe and independent road users. Starting Out Safely focuses on the correct use of child restraints and boosters seats, pedestrian safety and safe play.

Please share a practical example or learning story (approximately 200 words) highlighting how road safety education is embedded into your curriculum and prepares children for life.

Make sure your submission includes your name, organisation, position, postal address, telephone and email address. Email your submission to rse@elaa.org.au by 12 May 2015

Closing date

Applications close Tuesday 12 May 2015.

Eligibility

This award is open to all early childhood professionals working with children aged 0 to 6 years.

Prize

The winner will receive $500 and a resource prize pack for their nominated service.
