Scanning your documents

Traditional desktop scanner

To scan your documents you can use a traditional desktop scanner. If you’re unsure of how to use your scanner check your scanner manufacturer’s website for instructions.

Mobile devices

You can use a mobile device to scan your documents and save them to either a cloud account or the device: you can then upload the files to our website.

Your mobile device must have:

  • A camera that will allow the documents to be in focus from around 30cm away.
  • An internet/data connection (either connected to WiFi or a mobile data provider)
  • Sufficient storage on the device or a cloud account eg Google drive, OneDrive or Icloud.

You can download different types of ‘Scanner apps’ from your devices app store. Most of the scanner apps allow for free scans but may show ads or can provide premium scanning if you buy the app.

We are not associated with any of the apps listed on this page. Please check our disclaimer before downloading any 3rd party apps and also check the apps terms and conditions.
