myVicRoads account

Frequently asked questions about your myVicRoads account.

Getting an account and logging in

Sign up online and follow the prompts to enter your licence or registration details. See Account help for more information.

Go to Log into myVicRoads and sign in with your email and password. You can also sign in using the myVicRoads app on your phone.

You can also choose to sign in with a passkey (fingerprint, face ID or PIN) for increased security.

Account security

A passkey lets you sign in using your device's built in security (fingerprint, face ID or PIN) instead of a password. You can set up a passkey at login or by clicking 'Profile & Settings'.

For more information, see Account security.

Use a passkey (recommended) and never share your password or verification codes. You can review your security settings by going to ‘Profile & Settings’ and looking under ‘Security’.

Remember, VicRoads will never call you and ask for your password, or ask for a code sent to your phone.

For more information, see Account security.

Account issues

Enter the email address you used for your account and click ‘login’. On the next screen you will see an option to reset your password.

If you don’t receive the email, check your spam/junk folder. For more information, see Forgot your password

Make sure your device is running a supported operating system and you're using the latest version of the app.  Updates don't always install automatically – just open the app store and update the app.

If you've forgotten your password or your login isn't working, select 'Forgot Password' on the app login screen and follow the steps.

If the issue continues, close the app completely.  If that doesn’t help, uninstall and reinstall the app, then try again.

If you enter the wrong password too many times your account may lock. Reset your password by entering your email in the login page, then clicking 'login' to proceed to the next screen, where you will see an option to reset your password.

For more information, see Account help.
