Renewing your registration

You can pay your rego online immediately, without logging in – simply go to Pay your registration

You can also log into your myVicRoads account or use the myVicRoads app on your phone to pay your rego.

You can pay and renew your registration, using a credit or debit card, through the myVicRoads apponline or over the phone by calling 1300 086 314 and following the prompts.

You can set up direct debit from your myVicRoads account. Simply log into myVicRoads and go to ‘Payments & Transaction History’ to opt in.

Direct debit can also be set up in the myVicRoads app from the Payments menu. 

It is your responsibility to renew your registration on time, even if you did not get your renewal notice. Pay now.

To download a copy of your renewal notice, log into myVicRoads, click the 'Notifications' button and open ‘Notifications History’.

Notices are sent about 6 weeks before expiry. If you have a myVicRoads account, you’ll receive your notice via the email address on your account.  

Renewal periods, fees and concessions

You can change to 3, 6 or 12 month registration in your myVicRoads account before your next renewal is due. See Change your registration period.

Short-term registration is not available for light trailers, boats or other vessels. 

Your renewal fee is included on your notice. The cost includes a registration fee and a Transport Accident Commission (TAC) fee.

If you have a valid concession, you may be able to get a discount. You can apply for a concession registration any time, but it's best to do it at least 5 days before your vehicle registration renewal is due.

Payments and status

Whether you renew early, on time or late, your registration always starts from the previous expiry date – not the date the payment is made.

If you believe you have paid twice, keep both receipts and wait at least 1-2 days before contacting us.
