Payment and billing help

To make it easier to manage your payments and billing, you can:

• Set notification preferences: Choose how you receive your registration renewal notices - by email or post.
• Manage payment methods: Store your card information securely and set default payment methods for faster transactions. Note: card payment fees apply to all credit card transactions.
• Access previous renewals: View your registration renewal history starting from when you first created your account.
• Review transaction history: Search payment transactions made through your account for up to 24 months.

When you sign up, we set your account to receive renewal notifications by email - which means they won’t be sent by post. 

To change this:

• go to Notification preferences in your myVicRoads dashboard and select either ‘Email’ or ‘Post’.

If you choose ‘Email’, you’ll get: 

Notification	Timeframe
Notice for your registration renewal	6 weeks before expiry
Advice that your licence will expire	2 weeks before payment is due
Registration payment reminder	2 weeks before it expires
Reminder SMS	2 days after expiry
Registration payment email	7 days after it expires
Reminder to renew your licence	7 days after it expires

If you choose ‘Post’, you’ll get:

Notification	Timeframe
Registration renewal notice	6 weeks before expiry
Final payment reminder	7 days after it's due

You can update your notification preferences any time.

You can also manage your payment methods for renewals.

• Store credit card details: Save your card information securely for faster payments.

• Set a preferred payment method: Choose a default card for payments. You can always use a different card at checkout.

You can access up to 24 months of payment transactions made through your myVicRoads account.  

Transactions made outside the account (for example, through BPAY) will not show up here.

You can view your recent registration renewal notifications starting from when you first created your account.
