What you can do with your myVicRoads business account
To make it easier to manage payments, you can:
- save multiple credit cards
- save multiple bank accounts
- set a card or account as your default payment method
- choose if you’d like to receive your renewal notices by email or post
- view your registration renewal history, starting from when you created the account.
Manage your payment methods
You can save multiple credit cards and bank accounts to your myVicRoads business account, making it quicker to pay when you need to. But you can also choose to pay with a credit card that isn’t saved to your account.
You can update payment methods in your account and add, edit or delete details.
Set your preferred payment method
You can choose which saved card or account you'd like to use as your default payment method.
- If you’ve only saved one method, it’ll automatically be set as your default.
- If you’ve saved more than one, go to ‘Payment preference’ to pick or change your preferred option.
Change how you get your bills
When you sign up for a myVicRoads business account, you’re automatically set up to get your vehicle registration renewals by email - which means you won’t receive your renewal in the post.
Want to change this? Go to Notifications on your dashboard.
If you choose eBilling, you’ll get:
- your renewal notice by email, 6 weeks before it’s due
- a reminder email, 10 days before expiry
- a reminder SMS or voice message, 2 days after expiry
- a final reminder by post, 7 days after expiry (if still unpaid).
If you opt out of eBilling, you’ll get:
- your renewal notice by post, 4–6 weeks before expiry
- a final reminder by post, 7 days after expiry (if still unpaid).
