Getting started
Your VicRoads personal account allows you to access a range of online services securely. You can pay your registration, renew your driver licence, check your demerit points and more.
Create an account
All you need to do is follow the instructions on the sign up form.
To create an account, we’ll ask you for details from the following documents:
- your driver licence, learner permit or marine licence
- vehicle or vessel (boat) registration certificate or renewal notice.
If you don’t have either of these, don’t worry – you can still sign up.
Logging in
- use the login page on our website
- download and log in on the myVicRoads app.
If you’ve forgotten your username:
- use the ‘Forgot username’ link on the login page.
If you’ve forgotten your password:
- use the password reset option on the login page and follow the instructions
- check your spam or junk folder if you don’t get the password reset email.
If you try to log in too many times without success, your account will be locked. To get back into your account:
- try resetting your password after 24 hours
- clear your browser cache and cookies.
To unlock your account instantly, contact myVicRoads support for assistance.
If you see this message, it means our services are temporarily down. Try refreshing the page or check back later.
Updating your details
You can easily update your personal information under Profile & Settings.
Managing security and privacy settings
You can keep your account secure by:
- enabling passkeys or two-step verification
- reviewing your privacy preferences under Profile & Settings
- logging out from all devices if you suspect unauthorised access.
VicRoads will never ask for your password. We will never call you and ask you to tell us a verification code that was sent to your phone. Find out how to protect your identity and be aware of scams.
