Assistance for people impacted by family violence
VicRoads supports its customers who are affected by family violence through a respectful, simple and transparent process.
Focused on an integrated response to family violence, VicRoads continues to complement and support Victoria's family violence reform. As a service provider, we understand our role in providing the necessary sensitive case management support to our customers.

Short Term Registration/Concession car holders
Short term registration is available for light vehicles which gives you the option to make registration payments for 3- or 6-month periods. Discounted registration is also available for pensioners, people with disabilities, and people on Jobseeker payments who have health care cards.
Deactivating your myVicRoads online account
Please advise our staff on the above number or by email if you would like to deactivate your existing myVicRoads account due to family violence circumstances (someone other than yourself may have access to it). We can assist you to deactivate your existing account and set up a new account to allow you access our online services in future.
Financial Hardship
VicRoads recognises that financial hardship can occur in many situations and under various circumstances.
As a Government agency, VicRoads is unable to assist with financial hardship. However, you may wish to discuss your circumstances with an external organisation or your nominated case manager who may be able to provide support or alternatives to help with these matters.
