How to sign up for a myVicRoads business account

Signing up for an account is quick and easy

Watch our 3 minute video to learn how to sign up.

What you need to sign up

To sign up for a myVicRoads business account you’ll need:

  • an invitation letter from us
  • the verification code in the letter we send you
  • the VicRoads customer number for your business
  • a valid email address.

If you haven’t received an invitation from us then register your interest and we’ll get in touch.

  1. Go to the sign up page.
  2. Enter your details in each of the required fields.
  3. Declare you have the authority to act on behalf of your business.
  4. Click on the link in the account activation email we’ll send to you.

The person who sets up your account must have the authority to manage vehicles on behalf of your business. This could be:

  • a director of operations or fleet manager, for a large organisation
  • the company secretary, for an incorporated body
  • the owner, for a small business.
If you’re not this person, you’ll need their permission. Once you have their consent, enter their name and title when prompted during the sign up process.

Once your account has been activated, a maximum of five users can be added to the account at any time.

To sign up, repeat the steps in the sign up process. Each user will need:

  • the same verification code in the invitation letter we sent you
  • the same VicRoads customer number that was used when your business account was created
  • a valid email address.

If your verification code has expired, please email the business name, customer number, and expired verification code to [email protected]. It can take up to 5 business days to receive your new verification code.

Your company’s customer number can be found on the vehicle renewal notices (certificates of registration) for any vehicle that is registered to your business.

If you can’t find a renewal notice for any of your organisation’s vehicles, you’ll need to visit one of our Customer Service Centres and provide proof that you have authority to act on behalf of your organisation to get your customer number.

Your verification code is in the invitation letter we sent you. It needs to be entered exactly the way it’s shown in the letter, including using upper and lower case letters.

If you’ve misplaced or lost the letter, you’ll need to request a new one from us.

  • click the link in step 6 of the sign up process to have your activation email resent.

If you’ve tried the above but are still having trouble, call the myVicRoads support team on 1300 650 266 between 8:30am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
