How to use the myVicRoads app

 

The Basics:

Download and install the app

Search “myVicRoads” in the App Store (for iPhone users) or Play Store (for Android users), or click one of these links and download the app. 

Log in or sign up

  • Launch the myVicRoads app on your smartphone.
  • If you already have a myVicRoads account, enter your existing details (email and password) to login.
  • If you haven’t already, enable two-step verification on your myVicRoads account to continue.
  • If you don't have an account, you can create one online then return to the app and use these details to login. 

Accessing your DDL

  • After logging in, you will be taken to the app's main screen.
  • Tap on the card at the bottom of the screen and your Digital Licence will appear. You can toggle between your driver licence, evidence of identity and proof of age screens.

Navigating the app

  • Explore the different sections and options available in the app.
  • Use the menu located at the top of your home screen to access various features and settings.
  • Depending on the current app version, you may have additional features and transactions available, such as account settings, app settings, helpful information, licence validation, and more. 

Managing your DDL

  • Within the DDL section, you can view your licence details, including your photo, licence number, and conditions.
  • In the licence view, scroll to see additional information.
  • Refresh your DDL by swiping down on your screen or refresh your QR code by tapping on it to ensure it can be scanned for validation.

Logging out

  • To log out of the myVicRoads app, go to settings and select “Logout”. When you return to use the app, simply enter your pin or verify with biometrics to continue.
  • To sign out of your myVicRoads account completely or to log into another account, first select “Logout”, then select “Forgot?” and then select “Logout” again. This will log you out of your myVicRoads account completely. If you choose to log out of your myVicRoads account completely, you will need to enter your email address and password to sign back in the next time you access the app.

I'm Having Trouble:

Resetting your password

  • If you forget your password, you can reset it within the app or via our website. 
  • In the app, look out for "Forgot?" on the pin screen.
  • Follow the prompts to reset your password.

Deactivating the Digital Driver Licence (DDL):

  1. Open the myVicRoads app on your smartphone.
  2. Navigate to settings and select “App settings”. 
  3. Look for the option to “Deactivate cards” and toggle on.

Why doesn't the app work for me:

This could be due to having an older version of the Operating System (OS) installed on your device. Check to see if your OS needs any version updates and try again.

The myVicRoads app currently supports:

  • iOS 15 and above.
  • Android 10 and above.

You may not be able to access the app if you’re using an OS that isn’t supported. If the OS on your device is up to date and you’re still experiencing issues, please contact us here.
