Victoria's Big Build. Changes today, better transport tomorrow. Public transport and road disruptions continue this winter


Major Works this Winter

As part of Victoria’s Big Build, works continue this winter to remove dangerous and congested level crossings. West Gate Tunnel Project works will progress to widen Footscray Road and build the new bike veloway, and upgrade works continue across the south east as part of Big Build Roads. We’re also getting ready to upgrade the Eastern Freeway and M80 Ring Road, while preparing for tunnelling on North East Link. Yarra Trams track renewal will take place on various routes across the tram network.

These works will cause delays on key roads and surrounding areas. Be sure to plan ahead, allow extra time or take an alternative route if possible.
