Concessions and discounts
Concessions are available for vehicle registration under certain concession cards and vehicle categories. You may also be eligible to register your vehicle for six months instead of 12 months.
From 29 June 2022, a new VicRoads joint venture (R&L Services Victoria Pty Ltd ABN 28 657 005 493) will be providing Registration and Licensing services on behalf of the Department of Transport and Planning. Any government concessions that currently apply to your VicRoads account will be carried over for use by the joint venture entity, using the consent you provided to VicRoads to use Centrelink Confirmation eServices to obtain information from Services Australia to confirm your eligibility for any concession/rebate or service. You don’t have to do anything for this to happen. If you would prefer that Services Australia didn’t confirm your eligibility for concessions/rebates or service, you can call R&L Services Victoria Pty Ltd on 13 11 71 to withdraw your consent. If you do withdraw your consent to use Centrelink Confirmation eServices, you will need to prove your eligibility another way.
