Operator and depot manager accreditation

Accident towing service operators and depot managers have a responsibility to ensure their services are safe, efficient, timely, and lawful. It is illegal to operate an accident towing service unless you are an accredited operator.

It is illegal to operate an accident towing service without the appropriate accreditation.

Accreditation helps ensure that accident tow truck licence holders perform work to an acceptable standard.

  • the Accident Towing Services Act 2007
  • the Accident Towing Services Regulations 2019
